چکیده
Searching MEDLINE (from 1966 to November 2001), EMBASE (from 1980 to November 2001), Cancerlit (from 1966 to November 2001) and the Cochrane Library (Issue 3, 2001) were searched. The authors also contacted experts in the field, searched the Internet, and checked the citations of studies and reviews obtained for additional studies. The search terms used were reported in detail. There were no language restrictions. It appears that unpublished literature was eligible, although the authors did not explicitly state this.

Paclitaxel and Carboplatin With Thoracic Radiation: Locally Advanced Non–Small-Cell Lung Cancer
Combined chemotherapy and radiation therapy have started to replace the traditional local approach of thoracic radiotherapy alone for unresectable stage III nonsmall-cell lung cancer. By itself, thoracic radiotherapy provides local control and effective palliation of symptoms, but has a minimal effect on survival.[1-3] Novel schemes of radiation such as hyperfractionated radiation[4] and conti...

متن کاملNon-small cell lung cancer and CHART (continuous hyperfractionated accelerated radiotherapy)--where do we stand?
This paper reviews the use of hyperfractionated and/or accelerated radiation therapy in the curative treatment of non-small cell lung cancer, and explains the scientific rationale behind the development of these regimes. The indications, practicalities and economics of introducing them routinely are addressed. Novel radiotherapy techniques are further discussed in the context of current develop...
متن کاملA review of the role of dopamine receptors and novel therapeutic strategies in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)
Lung cancer is a very aggressive and most deadly cancer in both men and women. Lung cancer is divided into two types of small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). NSCLC is divided into 3 subgroups: adenocarcinoma (AC), squamous cell carcinoma (SqCC) and large cell carcinoma (LCC). Dopamine is involved in controlling motions, cognition, emotions, memory and reward mech...
متن کاملComparing Docetaxel Plus Cisplatin with Paclitaxel Plus Carboplatin in Chemotherapy-Naïve Patients with Advanced Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer: a Single Institute Study
Aims: The backbone of treatment in advanced non-small cell lung cancer is platinum-based doublet chemotherapy. We intended to compare the effectiveness of two commonly used regimens in real world practice. Methods: This single institute, parallel comparative post marketing study included 100 patients with chemo-naïve advanced (stage IIIB, IV) non-small cell lung cancer and Eastern Cooperative O...
